Sure, getting a new toy or trying a new position can be fun, but the novelty wears off and the orgasms tend to hover around the same area. 📍 Hello, and welcome to a Tuesday transmission episode inside the unapologetic with Janine McKinnon podcast. And today we are chatting about. Three tantra keys to support you in really creating greater presence, connection and orgasmic bliss. In your self-pleasure sessions, as well as in your partner to experience this. And so when it comes to tantra, it really is. So much more than sex, which is what generally comes to mind when people hear about tantra in Western cultures.

I know for me before really. Opening myself up to this whole world. It was okay. That’s just like really long sex sessions that are supposed to be really good. Right. But tantra is actually a lot more than that.

It really is this whole spiritual philosophy that incorporates oneness with all that is and learning to move energy through out your body and even being able to access altered states of consciousness and. There’s so much more to it, and I’m not going to get too far down the rabbit hole here. But what we’re going to focus on is three keys that come from tantra. To really support the connection you have with yourself. With your body, with your partner, with your sexual experiences and being able to move your energy and to be able to experience more of those. Waves of pleasure.

And this is not to say that these are like the three keys of tantra. They are just three keys that come from tantra and there is a lot more to it. But what we are going to focus on is those three keys of breath, sound and movement, because they are incredible tools for moving energy, moving blockages that are in your body, and really being able to create those waves of pleasure and orgasmic bus.

And there are a few other things that can be really helpful, especially if you are someone who is having a lot of different books.

And so incorporating things like inner child and shadow work on a sematic level like I do within my coaching sessions really supports you in getting that. Deep stuff. That’s rooted itself into your nervous system and into your subconscious,

📍 but these tools, these keys of tantra with breath, sound, and movement or something you can play with on your own and bring that into your weekly date night with yourself and your personal pleasure practices as well into your partner and experiences.

And I just find there. Really accessible tools. That you can play with and begin to notice some real differences. Either right away. Or if you’re someone who has a lot of numbness, a lot of blocks, it is of course, going to understandably take longer. But I do find when you stick with these, it’s something that is almost tangible that you will begin to notice and a short amount of time.

And again, it’s something you can do on your own compared to that inner child healing and that shadow work on that deeper somatic level where. You really want a coach supporting you and going through that process. And if that is something you’re wanting to look at, I’m happy to do that. And so looking and one of the first tools that breath. It’s really nice to see that it has been getting more of a spotlight. Not only with inhaling realms, but I would say in mainstream, News and things like that as well. There really seems to be this movement and opening us up to breath and the power it has on really transforming our health and wellness. And that’s because breath is able to move energy and our body. And I go into this more in depth in a podcast episode that I will link for you. That touches on the differences between meditation breath, work and pleasure practices and how those open up your subconscious and your nervous system in different ways.

So if you’re interested in really exploring those three different methods, I definitely recommend checking out that episode. But to focus on breath. Is it really opened up. Our nervous system and it allows that movement of energy.

And to bring some life and To some of these sticky blockages that we have in our body. Because our body and our nervous system. Absorbs all of this different information that we take in all the time and all of our different experiences that are familiar, tend to have that automatic response. And some of these automatic responses, especially if we’re unable to complete the trauma cycle and up stored in our body. Especially, if you are someone that holds on to some different trauma or different things like that, these are stuck within our body.

And that’s why holistic tools like bruh. It was a really powerful B for being able to move. Those things that are stuck within our body and to be able to release them in a somatic way as we are opened up through the breath. And so when it comes to really being able to drop into our presence and to have more expansive pleasure, breath helps with the movement of all of this.

So on one side of the scale, if you’re someone that has some blockages, some. Um, ness going on. Breath is going to help shake up. Some of those blockages help you build your mind, body connection to these different areas of your body when you are using breath in a particular manner. So in the unapologetic practices collection, there are different breathwork practices to support you in this such as Yoni breathing. And so when you are playing around with your breathing pattern as a while, as where you were focusing on moving that breath, And so focusing on breathing in to your Yoni. Building that connection. And really keeping your focus on the sensations. That come alive through your breath. No one is saying that expansion, that relaxation through the cycle of your breath. You begin to, again, kind of knock loose some of those sticky things.

And if you’re someone with that numbness. You’re going to slowly over time through a dedicated practice, begin to feel your Yoni come alive. That are those exact words that I’ve heard from a client like she’s alive now. And so that is very doable through breath when you’re having some of these challenges. Now on the other end of the spectrum, perhaps that’s not an issue for you.

And you’re just really looking to play around with sacred sexuality and so pleasure, and to be able to. Receive some of that more. Now, some of that expansion. Using the breath and even Yoni breathing as well. This is something I use within my own experiences.

Helps you expand that energy.

And so instead of just perhaps focusing on a particular spot or sensations that feel good, you can play around with your breath and notice the effect it has on your body. And so playing with different breathing patterns are shifting your focus and how you’re moving. Those sensations and that energy. Affects you in different ways. And breath can be a good tool when it comes to edging. And this is one of the early, early. Uh, podcasts episodes that I touch on this with, or Dominique actually touches on this and a conversation I have with Dominique DaVita. And it is with strawberry thing.

So that is a great tool for edging. And can we fund just to play around with, on your own. It’s just breathing as if you’re breathing through a straw. And you’re going to notice it’s going to impact your body and your sensations on different ways. And same with workaholism.

When you get close to that, climax, a lot of women tend to hold their breath. And tend to tense up.

And so that’s actually stifling. The expansion of energy when you’re tensing up, when you’re holding breath, you’re holding that energy down. So you’re only going to have those short little bursts, if you’re going to feel or experience any kind of release or climax at all. So when you can begin to incorporate that breath, right at that climax, you’re creating that free flow of energy that is going to open you up for more and more of that expansiveness.

The more you begin to play with that tool. So breath. I’d say that’s like the first foundation to creating that mind, body connection. to be able to experience that greater presence with yourself, with those sensations, with your energy, with your partner, and be able to experience more of that expanse of orgasmic bus. Now the second tool. Is sounding. And so sounding is like breath on steroids, but you might be like, what am I talking about?

What is sounding? I know the first time I first heard about sounding. Was actually coming into my certification program and learning that that was the main holistic tools, the main tantric tools that we would be learning. I’m like, like, what does that mean? Like is the sound we’re going to be listening to, or like, I don’t get it.

What is it?

So basically what sounding is, is it is the expression of your sensations. And so the idea behind it, if you were to really break it down, Is you are inhaling into an area. So say Yoni breathing, for instance, to carry on that example from before. You’re breathing into your Yoni. And then sounding out. The sensations.

And so that’s going to look different for everyone. And another example of what sounding kind of looks like and feels like in something that’s a bit more approachable that you have probably noticed is like a sigh. Like, ah, That’s sounding. Or like anger. That is sounding your sensations. And so that’s something you can carry over into your sexual experiences and. What you may notice even with the sighs, like, ah, Like it has a greater depth feeling to it. And same with that anger, like it envokes, more emotions and sensations in your body, and then just the thought of it. And so that’s why I like to say that

sound is like breath on steroids. Is it, is that much more expansive?

It really amplifies your sensations and your feeling state, and you’re more in tune. You have that greater presence. With those sensations with your experience. And then you’re moving that energy to a greater capacity. And this is something that’s really helpful. And so many different ways when it comes to that orgasmic bliss that we’re talking about for this episode, it can be great just for starting up.

So this is a way I actually use this tool if perhaps. It can take a while to warm up. So a way I can actually speed up the process is with that Yoni breathing tool. And so this is something, again, I haven’t said the unapologetic practices collection, you can practice it a few times. Through a guided practice. And then you begin to access that tool a lot more easily on your own.

And so what I will do. When it’s starting things up and I’m wanting to get more in the mood and to get that energy flowing in my body is doing that Yoni, breathing, breathing down into that space, feeling the sensation, and then. Allowing the sound to just intuitively. Come out and it begins to amp up your energy. With each breath instead of just kind of waiting for your body and your Yoni to come alive, you’re intentionally choosing to do that and using the tools you have available. To build that energy within yourself to build that turn on, to be able to increase that turn on and to play with your sexual energy.

And again, get into those. Waves of pleasure and be able to really amplify that feeling state in your body. It’s amplifying your electromagnetic energy. It is amplifying all of those different hormones swirling around and your body is you’re amplifying your pleasure.

And this sounding is an incredible personal transformation tool as well. And that is a big part of why I do what I do. I say it all the time, the greatest transformation comes through the taboo. And so when you learn to use your voice. In your sexual experiences. Like it is super awkward and scary for some the beginning. And like nothing comes out and you feel super self-conscious and like, maybe you’ll let out this tiny little squeak. And if you’re someone who falls into that category, I’m guessing. You don’t use your voice to stand up for yourself or to ask for help or to speak your opinions. Very much in that outside world.

Hi there. And so if you are dealing with this shutdown throat chakra, The shutdown of your self-expression. This is an incredible tool to be able to move through that. To be able to breathe. And sound. And express yourself. And there is also a connection between your throat and your Yoni. It is connected through the vagus nerve.

The vaginal canal actually looks very similar to a throat. If you look at the biology of it, And they’re connected. And so the more you are able to relax your throat and your jaw and be able to express. In turn, you’re relaxing and turning on and expressing in your Yoni as well. And so it’s. Incredible how it’s tied to so many different things.

And so not only is it going to help you be able to amp up for your turn on and move that energy even more. You’re also going to notice the impact it has on your life, outside the bedroom. And that you begin to be able to express yourself. A lot more easily and readily when it comes to different things like just asking for help or speaking up your thoughts or different things like that. But I feel like I’m starting to go off on a tangent, so I will just focus it back in here with those. Two tools we’ve touched on so far for those keys of tantra for really increasing our presence and moving that sexual energy in that orgasmic bliss. With breath. And then incorporating sound in cheer practice.

📍 Now the third key is movement.

And so this is something that is very intuitive for some where your movement just comes and you want to begin to move your hips and move your body. And it’s again, moving that energy and allowing you to just really drop into the moment. And then it is less intuitive for others where you might feel like you were caught up in your head. Should I put my hand here?

Should I move like this? What will I look like if I move in that way? And so there’s so much disconnection. Going on there. And so if you’re someone that gets caught up in your head, Taking yourself to those first keys and focusing on that with your breath, feeling your sense Sensi. Feeling your sensations and then sounding. The sensations. And then begin to bring in intuitive movement. However your body wants to move a loud with it. To move and this amplifies your expression and amplifies your energy even more. And again, there’s like two different people that fall into these camps when it comes to working on these things. Those that like, oh yes, I already kind of play around with it.

I want more. And so you’re able to feel a little bit more intuitive, perhaps clunky at first, but you’re able to really. Work that breath, that sound and that movement, and began to feel that expansiveness more and more. And so for those people, You will notice your sensations and that energy building in that climax. We’ll just begin to grow and grow as you build your relationship with your body, with your energy body and being able to move things in this way. And then if you’re someone who. Is like, so fearful of like, what the fuck do you want me to do?

You want me to like, Sound and make noises and like, What am I going to look like or sound like? And it’s like almost mortifying. Thinking of that. This is why I highly highly recommend having a pleasure practice. For yourself. So that is your lab to be able to work on these things in a safe container where you were completely by yourself, and you don’t have to worry about what you look like or sound like around another person. And so you can practice. You can begin to feel the effects of this. And then you build that trust within yourself.

You build that confidence within yourself. Then you’re going to be able to express yourself, have the conversations with your partner. Hey, I’m going to try this. And then transfer that over to your partner and experience to really be able to have that sacred union with that energy just flowing between you two. But it does take time.

And so that’s what unapologetic practices is there for is an, is your guide for beginning to work with these things with yourself? With your Yoni with your body, with your sensuality, your femininity, and learn to move. Your energy through your body, through your chakra system or the microcosmic orbit.

So you can really begin to experience that expansiveness that is available to you.

Because these three keys, when you practice them on a regular basis, both with yourself and with your partner. That’s where you’re going to go from like okay. Or mediocre sexual experiences to like, holy shit. I feel more pleasure than I ever have before. Just by changing those things. And so I see like a lot of people are like, oh, I want to spice up my sex life.

Let’s get some new toys or try a different position. And honestly think of those things often as like a novelty. And it’s not like they’re wrong in any way. They absolutely can be fun. But there’s more to it. And if you work on things like, yes, of course there are those blocks with inner child healing and shadow work that I have resources for.

But

when you work with things like your presence, With sound with breath, with movement. That’s where you just take your sexual experiences to this whole other level where you can eventually access those altered states of consciousness and be able to feel the energy and the sensations and the pleasure flowing through you in this entirely different way, because a position or a different toy, like isn’t really going to do that. It’s going to be fun, but if you’ve trained yourself to orgasm in a certain way, it’s going to continue to be that same sort of way. No matter the position or the toy. But when you begin to use these holistic sex tools, these keys of tantra with that breath, that sound that movement and moving it through different areas of your body. And at different paces and things like that. That’s where you can really begin to notice those big differences. And the pleasure you receive and the pleasure you open yourself up to.
